AL RUYA AL MUSTAQBALIYYA ELECTRONICS TRADING L.L.C (“AL RUYA”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use this website or purchase from us, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It is written with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and the EU/UK GDPR in mind, as we serve international clients.

2. Data We Collect

• Contact & enquiry data — name, email address, phone number, company name and the contents of your message when you use our contact form, email or call us.
• Order & billing data — billing name and address, order details, quotation history and delivery email address when you purchase from us.
• Payment data — processed entirely by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number; we only see the payment status, the card brand and the last four digits.
• Technical data — basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) used for security and to keep the website running reliably.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To respond to enquiries and prepare quotations (legitimate interest / pre-contract steps);
• To fulfil orders, deliver digital products and provide support (performance of a contract);
• To process payments and refunds through Stripe (performance of a contract);
• To comply with legal obligations — tax, accounting, anti-fraud and UAE licensing requirements;
• To protect our website and clients against fraud and abuse (legitimate interest).

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not send marketing emails without your consent.

4. Payment Processing by Stripe

Card payments are handled by Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. When you pay, your card details are transmitted directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection. Stripe processes your data as described in its own privacy policy (available at stripe.com/privacy), including for fraud prevention. Charges appear on your statement as “AL RUYA”.

5. Sharing & International Transfers

We share personal data only with:

• Stripe — for payment processing and refunds;
• Software publishers/distributors — only where required to issue or register a license in your name;
• Hosting and email infrastructure providers — to run this website and deliver messages;
• Authorities — where disclosure is required by law.

Because we serve international clients, data may be processed outside your country, including in the UAE, the EU and the US. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses used by our processors.

6. Cookies

This website uses only strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies needed for the site to function (for example, security and session integrity). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If third-party analytics are added in the future, this policy and the site will be updated accordingly and consent will be requested where required.

• Enquiry messages — kept up to 24 months, then deleted unless they led to an order;
• Order, invoice and payment records — kept for the period required by UAE tax and commercial law (typically 5–7 years);
• Server logs — kept up to 12 months for security purposes.

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• Correct inaccurate data;
• Request deletion of data we are not legally required to keep;
• Object to or restrict certain processing;

9. Security

The website is served over HTTPS, payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe, and access to enquiry and order data is limited to authorised personnel. Our products and website are intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
